About the position

The Front-end Supervisor at Ralphs is responsible for creating an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service while achieving sales and profit goals. This role involves directing and supervising all functions of the Front-end department, ensuring compliance with quality assurance standards, and maintaining a safe and clean environment for customers. Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain a safe and clean environment for customers.
• Achieve Front-end performance goals and best practices.
• Drive the department to reach sales and profit goals.
• Monitor established quality assurance standards.
• Direct and supervise all functions, duties, and activities for the Front-end department.
• Execute best practices and established standards for the department.
• Promote teamwork and collaboration among associates.
• Create an environment that makes customers feel welcome and appreciated.
• Maintain records and paperwork for compliance with company and federal regulations.
• Manage cash control, sales, and records for the store.
• Assist in preparing the store/department budget and profit/loss reviews.
• Develop and implement a department business plan to achieve desired results.
• Create and execute sales promotions in partnership with store management.
• Monitor and control expenses for the department.
• Maintain awareness of inventory and stocking conditions.
• Ensure department associates are compliant with training standards.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines.
• Reinforce safety programs and identify unsafe conditions.
• Practice preventive maintenance on equipment and report issues.
• Supervise and coach direct reports, completing performance reviews.

Requirements

• Effective communication skills
• Knowledge of basic math
• Ability to handle stressful situations
• Retail or customer service experience
• Front-end experience
