About the position

The Front End Department Leader is responsible for creating an outstanding customer experience by embracing the Customer 1st strategy. This role involves supervising all functions and activities of the Front-end department, achieving performance goals, and ensuring a safe and clean environment for customers. The leader will drive sales and profit goals while maintaining quality assurance standards and demonstrating the company's core values.

Responsibilities

  • Embrace the Customer 1st strategy to enhance customer experience.
  • Establish and maintain a safe and clean environment for customers.
  • Achieve Front-end performance goals and best practices.
  • Drive department sales and profit goals, monitoring quality assurance standards.
  • Direct and supervise all functions and activities of the Front-end department.
  • Execute best practices and established standards for the department.
  • Promote teamwork and communication among associates to achieve company goals.
  • Create a welcoming environment for customers and respond to product inquiries.
  • Maintain records for company and federal compliance, including Anti-money Laundering regulations.
  • Monitor and control supply expenses and manage cash control for the department.
  • Assist in preparing the store/department budget and profit/loss reviews.
  • Develop and implement a department business plan to achieve desired results.
  • Create and execute sales promotions in partnership with store management.
  • Stay current with seasonal and special ads, monitoring inventory conditions.
  • Ensure department associates are compliant with training standards.
  • Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines, reinforcing safety programs.
  • Practice preventive maintenance on equipment and report issues to management.
  • Supervise and coach direct reports, completing performance reviews.

Requirements
