About the position

The Front End/Dept Leader is responsible for creating an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service while managing the front-end department. This role involves achieving performance goals, maintaining a safe and clean environment, and ensuring compliance with quality assurance standards. The leader will supervise all functions and activities of the front-end department, driving sales and profit goals while embodying the company's core values.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain a safe and clean environment for customers.
  • Achieve front-end performance goals and best practices.
  • Drive the department to reach sales and profit goals.
  • Direct and supervise all functions, duties, and activities for the front-end department.
  • Execute best practices and established standards for the department.
  • Promote trust and respect among associates and communicate relevant information.
  • Collaborate with associates to achieve company/store goals.
  • Create a welcoming environment for customers and respond to their inquiries.
  • Maintain records for company and federal compliance, including Anti-money Laundering.
  • Monitor and control supply expenses and manage cash control for the store.
  • Schedule front-end associates to ensure adequate coverage.
  • Assist in preparing the store/department budget and profit/loss reviews.
  • Develop and implement a department business plan to achieve desired results.
  • Create and execute sales promotions in partnership with store management.
  • Monitor inventory and stocking conditions, noting discrepancies.
  • Ensure department associates are compliant with training standards.
  • Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines.
  • Reinforce safety programs and report any safety risks or illegal activities.
  • Supervise and coach direct reports, completing performance reviews.

Requirements

  • Retail or customer service experience
  • Front-end experience
