About the position

The Front End Developer position is a hybrid role based in Houston, TX, focused on developing web applications for the oil and gas industry. The role requires a strong background in web development, particularly with modern frameworks and technologies, to create and maintain user-friendly interfaces for mid-to-large size applications. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in software engineering and a solid understanding of agile methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain web applications using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, Angular, and Bootstrap.
• Implement unit and integration tests to ensure application quality.
• Collaborate with agile/scrum teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Utilize Azure DevOps for project management and development processes.
• Apply object-oriented design principles and distributed design patterns in application development.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in web development.
• Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, Angular 2+ (ideally v18), Bootstrap 3.x+, and Typescript.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
• Experience with software engineering principles and practices.
• Familiarity with Web Application Unit Test frameworks such as Jasmine.
• Experience working in agile/scrum teams.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with front end web graphics development.
• INT GeoToolkit experience.
• Docker/Kubernetes experience.
• Oil and Gas industry experience, particularly in drilling or geological applications development.
• Experience with scientific applications development.
• Familiarity with the Microsoft Technology Stack: .NET, C#, Web Api.
