About the position

The Software Engineer - Front End Developer will work primarily in the academic space, contributing to the development of user interfaces and applications. This role requires a strong foundation in front-end technologies and the ability to work independently while collaborating with Agile teams.

Responsibilities

• Work as a member of the Unsupervised Minions Product Team: Learning Support.
• Design and develop APIs and other interfaces to enable integration of UI applications with backend services.
• Utilize front-end technologies to create and enhance user interfaces for academic applications.

Requirements

• Minimum 3+ years of experience in Front End Web Development.
• Proficient in Jira, Git, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap, PHP, NextJS, MySQL.
• Experience working on Agile teams.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative in learning new product systems and features.
• Strong skills in NextJS/React.

Nice-to-haves

• Proficiency with Terraform and AWS.
• Experience with WordPress.
• Experience in integrating complex systems for continuous integration and deployment.
• Working knowledge of learning management systems (Blackboard).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
