About the position

We are currently looking for a highly motivated and self-driven Front End Developer for one of our clients in north Austin. The ideal candidate for this Front End Developer job is one who can work on a cross-functional team of multiple front end developers, API developers, UI/UX designers, and product managers. You will assist in developing and implementing well-tested, efficient, cross-browser, reusable, and flexible UI components using object-oriented JavaScript, CSS3, AJAX, AngularJS, and HTML5. You will need to have good AngularJS skills and have a clear understanding of client-side MVC applications which are backed by REST API services. We are looking for an individual with experience in building dynamic web applications. The role requires a post-secondary degree or diploma in Computer Science or equivalent, along with at least 2 years of experience building enterprise/commercial SaaS applications using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Advanced knowledge of JavaScript, AngularJS, and jQuery is essential, as well as knowledge and experience with CSS3 and HTML5. Familiarity with responsive frameworks such as Bootstrap or Foundation is also required. A passion for technology is a must, as the ideal candidates will also have experience with C# / ASP.NET MVC 4 and/or 5 with Razor, RESTful Web Services, and writing unit tests and automated functional tests. Experience working in an Agile and Lean UX environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement well-tested, efficient, cross-browser, reusable, and flexible UI components.
• Collaborate with a cross-functional team including front end developers, API developers, UI/UX designers, and product managers.
• Utilize object-oriented JavaScript, CSS3, AJAX, AngularJS, and HTML5 in development tasks.
• Build dynamic web applications that are backed by REST API services.
• Ensure high-quality code through unit tests and automated functional tests.

Requirements

• Post-secondary degree/diploma in Computer Science or equivalent.
• 2+ years' experience building enterprise/commercial SaaS applications using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Advanced knowledge of JavaScript, AngularJS, and jQuery.
• Knowledge and experience with CSS3 and HTML5.
• Familiarity with responsive frameworks such as Bootstrap or Foundation.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with C# / ASP.NET MVC 4 and/or 5 with Razor.
• Knowledge of RESTful Web Services.
• Experience writing unit tests and automated functional tests.
