About the position

As a Front End Developer at Booz Allen, you will be responsible for creating end-to-end solutions in a fast-paced, agile environment. This role involves not just coding, but also learning new tools and techniques to improve systems and help clients tackle their most challenging problems. You will work on developing software and systems from vision to production-ready, ensuring that solutions consider current architecture and future enhancements.

Responsibilities

• Develop front end applications using JavaScript and frameworks such as Vue and React.
• Engage in UI development, data analysis, and visualization.
• Conduct usability analysis and testing, and participate in client-facing engagements.
• Identify needed system improvements and implement them.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure solutions align with architectural standards.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience developing front end applications using JavaScript and frameworks like Vue and React.
• 3+ years of experience in UI development, data analysis, and visualization.
• 3+ years of experience with HTML and CSS, including CSS frameworks like Material Design, Bootstrap, or Foundation.
• 3+ years of experience with usability analysis, testing, and client-facing engagements.
• TS/SCI clearance required.
• HS diploma or GED required.
• Ability to obtain DoD 8570 Compliant Security+ or CISSP Certification within 6 months of start date.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with multithreaded code, 3D drawing algorithms, and multiplayer networking.
• Experience with Agile or Kanban software development methods.
• Experience using JavaScript mapping libraries like ArcGIS, Leaflet, and Mapbox.
• Experience with ArcGIS Server and custom web applications.
• Experience developing backend RESTful micro-services using Python or NodeJS.
• Experience with task runners and build systems like Vite, Webpack, or Rollup.
• Experience in C#, Java, Unity3D, Python, or JavaScript.
• Experience with testing frameworks like Jest and VItest.
• Experience with JavaScript package managers such as npm, bower, or yarn.
• Knowledge of JIRA, Confluence, Git, and GitLab.
