About the position

The Front End Developer (React) at Comcast is responsible for developing user-facing features and optimizing applications for performance and scalability within the Smart Network Platform (SNP). This role involves collaborating with UX teams, managing projects through design and QA phases, and utilizing SAFE Agile methodologies. The developer will work on a UI team that enhances and maintains a system managing thousands of devices in one of the largest cable networks, ensuring a seamless customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Translate UX team wireframes into Views in React
• Manage projects through design, development, and QA phases
• Participate in SAFE Agile methodologies
• Work on Node.js API layer
• Oversee testing and develop fixes
• Engage in progressive redesign and maintenance projects
• Develop new user-facing features
• Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability
• Validate all user input before submitting to back-end
• Participate in code reviews
• Identify blockers and apply creative solutions
• Stay updated on current trends in web development

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field
• 2-5 years of relevant work experience
• Proficiency in React.js
• Experience with TypeScript and Node.js
• Familiarity with WebPack and Linux
• Knowledge of Jenkins Continuous Integration
• Experience with containerization
