About the position

The Front End Developer will play a crucial role in modernizing systems for critical U.S. Government missions by designing, implementing, testing, and integrating new and updated front-end components. This position requires a creative thinker with expertise in UX design principles and proficiency in frameworks such as Svelte, Angular, or React. The developer will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure a seamless user experience while optimizing code for performance and efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Develop immersive user interfaces using Svelte, Angular, or React, along with HTML, CSS, and TypeScript.
  • Collaborate with team members to create innovative solutions that support critical U.S. Government missions.
  • Lead the charge in driving innovative approaches and strategies within front-end development practices.
  • Ensure a seamless user experience by working closely with cross-functional teams.
  • Optimize code for maximum performance and efficiency, swiftly addressing any issues that arise.
  • Champion industry best practices to create top-tier web applications.
  • Mentor junior developers and help build highly effective, collaborative teams.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a software engineer with expertise in user interface development using frameworks like Angular, React, or Svelte.
  • Proven experience in creating and maintaining enterprise web applications and integrating with back-end services.
  • Strong skills in CSS and creating page layouts using component libraries and toolkits.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of architecture styles and APIs, including REST.
  • Understanding of GIS concepts (ESRI tools, OStandards).
  • Experience with CI pipelines, ElasticSearch, Kibana, and AWS environments.
  • Experience working in a SAFe Agile environment.
  • Security+ Certification.
