About the position

The Front End Developer position at BCforward is a contract role based in Pleasanton, CA, requiring a highly motivated individual with extensive experience in building modern web applications. The role involves working in a hybrid environment, with three days in the office and two days working from home. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java, JavaScript, and various web technologies, and will be responsible for leading technology engagements and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Build modern web applications and sites in a professional environment.
• Design, develop, integrate, and deploy web services using microservices architecture.
• Lead large teams and technology engagements, including client and consulting staff.
• Conceptualize, design, build, and deploy Enterprise Content Management solutions.
• Communicate complex ideas in both technical and business-friendly language.
• Foster collaborative relationships with cross-functional teams.
• Perform quality assurance on one's own work.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in building modern web applications.
• 7+ years of experience in designing, developing, integrating, and deploying web services.
• Proficient in Java and web services testing tools (Junit, SOAPUI, Postman, JMeter).
• Familiarity with server-side programming (Node.js, Spring Boot).
• Minimum of 7 years with JavaScript and proficiency in at least one modern JavaScript framework (Angular preferred).
• Strong understanding of SDLC methodologies (Agile, SCRUM, RUP).
• Strong DevOps experience including GitHub, Bamboo, SonarQube.
• Excellent written, oral, and presentation abilities.
