About the position

Leidos is seeking a Front End Developer to join a team in Tucson, AZ, focusing on the DishTrak system. This role involves developing web applications using various technologies and requires the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance. The developer will work independently and coordinate with the lead development group to define tasks and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Support the development of web applications using React, Vue.js, Next.js, Django, Django Rest Framework, and Python.
• Perform front end GEOSpatial development using technologies like OpenLayers, OpenShift, and Docker.
• Coordinate with the lead development group to define tasks and schedules.
• Implement web accessibility standards and best practices.
• Work in an Agile environment and consult in a multi-project setting using technologies like GIT and Jira.

Requirements

• Must have a TS/SCI w/ Polygraph to be considered.
• Requires a BS in Engineering or Computer Science.
• 2-4 years of prior relevant experience in front-end web development.
• Demonstrated experience in front-end web development languages such as HTML, CSS, Tailwind, JavaScript, React, and Next.js.
• Experience developing applications using Django, Vue.js, and React with the ability to write modular component-based front-ends.
• Experience implementing web accessibility standards and best practices.
• Experience in an Agile environment and consulting in a multi-project environment using GIT and Jira.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience or educational background in Math or Physics.
• Technical skills with data management and working knowledge of Geospatial Information Systems (GIS).
• Familiarity with application programming languages such as Python, SQL, and JavaScript.
• Experience planning and presenting user interface designs.
• Familiarity with Docker and container-based deployments using Kubernetes/OpenShift.
• Experience with Git or Jenkins.
• Experience leveraging the Atlassian tool suite like JIRA and Confluence to track activities.
• Experience coordinating and offering suggestions for concept development, metrics, and deployment decisions.
• Experience with problem resolution, including organizing and structuring solutions to complex problems.
• Experience with Cloud/Amazon Web Services.
