About the position

Coalition Technologies is seeking a Front End Developer who is passionate about creating high-quality web experiences. In this role, you will be responsible for transforming complex layout PSDs into pixel-perfect HTML5/CSS3 templates, ensuring that our websites are not only visually appealing but also functionally robust. You will work closely with our design team to create responsive website designs that adapt seamlessly across various devices and browsers. Your expertise in HTML5, CSS3, and jQuery will be crucial in building websites using platforms like WordPress, BigCommerce, Magento, and Shopify, as well as extending and developing plugins and themes to enhance functionality. As a Front End Developer, you will also engage in optimizing images for the web using tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and Fireworks. You will be expected to manage multiple projects simultaneously, working under tight deadlines while maintaining a high quality of work with a strong focus on detail. Your ability to adapt to a diverse and multicultural environment will be essential, as you will be collaborating with team members from various backgrounds. Responsibilities

  • Transform complex layout PSDs into pixel-perfect presentation-layer HTML5/CSS3 templates.
  • Create responsive website designs.
  • Build websites with WordPress, extending and developing plugins and themes.
  • Work with Photoshop, Illustrator, and Fireworks to create images optimized for the web.
  • Utilize version control systems such as GIT / SVN.
  • Handle multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
  • Produce high quality of work with a strong focus on detail.

Requirements

  • Expertise in HTML5, CSS3, and jQuery.
  • Thorough understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues.
  • Experience with media queries.
  • Knowledge of CSS platforms such as Twitter's Bootstrap.
  • Ability to multi-task on multiple projects and tasks at the same time.
  • Great attention to detail and a highly organized work style.
  • Positive and upbeat attitude with the ability to learn quickly.
  • Proficiency in PHP/MYSQL and AJAX (preferred).
  • Experience with WordPress, BigCommerce, Magento, and Shopify (preferred).
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Availability to work 40 hours per week from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm PST.
  • Ability to adapt to a diverse and multicultural environment.
  • Reliable workstation with a fast computer, microphone, and speakers, reliable internet and power if working remotely.
