Front End Developer

About the position

The Front End Developer position is focused on supporting the client's Development and Maintenance programs. The role involves collaborating with development project teams, UI/UX designers, and business analysts to create and maintain reusable UI components that are accessible, performant, scalable, and robust. The developer will ensure compliance with WCAG 2.1 and ADA standards while testing for accessibility using tools like Jaws reader and various browser plugins.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with development project teams, UI/UX designers, and business analysts.
• Develop and maintain reusable UI components that are accessible, performant, scalable, and robust.
• Ensure compliance with WCAG 2.1 and ADA standards.
• Test development for accessibility using Jaws reader and browser plugins.

Requirements

• 5 years of experience with React.js.
• 5 years of experience with HTML5 and CSS Frameworks.
• 5 years of knowledge and background with ADA, WCAG 2.1, Section 508 compliance policies, and User Experience design principles.
• 3 years of experience with current JAVA, including relevant IDE tools such as Eclipse/Jboss Developer Studio.
• 2 years of experience programming in projects using JPA framework.
• 2 years of experience programming in projects using current Spring framework.
• 2 years of experience programming with Spring Boot and Spring Data.
• 3 years of experience programming with Java 8+.
• 2 years of experience participating as a programmer within an Agile development environment.

Nice-to-haves

• 2 years of experience programming in the JBOSS Enterprise environment.
