About the position

We are a stealth-mode startup in the edtech space, aiming to transform education with cutting-edge AI. This role is for an experienced front-end developer who will lead the development of our front-end architecture and collaborate closely with the founding team to create user-centric interfaces. As employee #3, you will have significant equity and autonomy to shape the product from the ground up.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of our front-end architecture.
• Collaborate closely with the founding team to turn ideas into reality.
• Build high-quality, user-centric interfaces that are fast and scalable.
• Own the front-end experience from development through production.
• Handle most UI/UX design.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in front-end development.
• Expert-level experience with JavaScript, ideally with frameworks like React or Vue.js.
• Proficiency in Python for front-end/backend integration.
• Experience in building and shipping products, ideally in a startup environment.
• A passion for building well-designed, scalable systems that enhance user experience.
• Ability to work autonomously while being open to feedback and debate.
• A CS degree or equivalent understanding of concepts like algorithmic complexity and distributed computing.
