About the position

The Sr. Front End Developer position at GSK Solutions Inc is a hybrid role based in East Lansing, MI, focusing on supporting the MDOT Development program. The developer will collaborate with project teams, UI/UX designers, and business analysts to create and maintain reusable UI components that are accessible, performant, scalable, and robust. The role requires a strong understanding of web accessibility standards and compliance, particularly WCAG 2.1 and ADA, and involves testing for accessibility using various tools.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with development project teams, UI/UX designers, and business analysts.
• Develop and maintain reusable UI components that are accessible and performant.
• Ensure compliance with WCAG 2.1 and ADA standards.
• Test developed components for accessibility using Jaws reader and browser plugins.

Requirements

• Strong background with React.js (5 years required).
• Experience with HTML5 and CSS Frameworks (5 years required).
• Knowledge of ADA, WCAG 2.1, and Section 508 compliance policies (5 years required).
• Experience with Java 8+ (3 years required).
• Experience with Spring Boot and Spring Data (2 years required).
• Experience with Agile development environment (2 years required).
• Familiarity with JPA framework (2 years required).
• Strong communication skills.
