About the position

The Guidehouse Team supports the OSE Data Governance Division by performing data quality, data metrics, data sharing, data governance, and data analysis initiatives. This includes configuring and performing operations and maintenance on a Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) data governance tool. Given the large, matrixed, and dynamic nature of the program, the Guidehouse Team plays a critical role in various cross-functional projects, initiatives, and taskings. As a Front-End Developer, you will be responsible for helping federal clients with specific initiatives related to the configuration, integration, operations, and maintenance of a COTS data governance tool, as well as other initiatives requiring integration and user interfaces. In this role, you will design and implement functionality within the tool, collaborating with other teams and stakeholders to ensure the tool is configured to meet business needs. You will assess current-state implementations to identify pain points, develop future-state requirements, and implement solutions, leveraging the COTS data governance tool or other user interfaces that integrate with it. Your contributions will be vital in enhancing the user experience and ensuring the tool's effectiveness in meeting the clients' needs.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement functionality within the COTS data governance tool.
  • Collaborate with other teams and stakeholders to ensure the tool meets business needs.
  • Assess current-state implementations to identify pain points and develop future-state requirements.
  • Implement solutions leveraging the COTS data governance tool or other user interfaces that integrate with it.

Requirements

  • An ACTIVE and CURRENT TOP SECRET/SCI federal security clearance with a Full Scope/Lifestyle (FS) polygraph.
  • Bachelor Degree.
  • SIX (6)+ years' of experience supporting state, local, or federal customers.
  • Hands-on experience in HTML, CSS, and front-end JavaScript frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js.
  • Experience developing performant and robust front-end applications using REST APIs.
  • Understanding and experience with data formats such as XML, CSV, and JSON.
  • Ability to translate UI/UX wireframe mockups to actual code that produces visual elements of the application or web interface.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of data visualizations, design principles, and methodology.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the data governance framework.
  • Familiarity with AWS infrastructure and tools.
  • Knowledge of 508 compliance.
  • Flexibility, agility, and ability to work in a collaborative team environment as well as independently in an agile environment using DevOps processes and practices.
  • Excellent problem-solver, self-starter, and communicator; capacity for learning technical concepts and adapting to new technologies quickly.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to build relations and communicate across all levels of staff and leadership.
