About the position

Maddisoft is seeking a highly skilled Front End Developer to join our team in Houston, Texas. This is a long-term W2 contract position that offers a hybrid work environment, requiring in-office attendance three days a week. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting and enhancing the User Interface (UI) for our proprietary applications, specifically the Retail Risk system (VHOS) and the Digital Services Platform (DSP). These applications are custom-built and require a developer with extensive experience in web development technologies and frameworks. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of technical experience and over 12 years of overall industry experience. The role demands proficiency in Angular JS, Spring, Git, Docker containers, Rabbit MQ, Maven, and Hibernate. Additionally, candidates should possess strong Java skills, including J2SE/J2EE, Java Server Pages (JSP), and Web Services, along with familiarity with XML, XSLT, and HTML. Experience with older Java technologies such as JSF, Java 6, Applets, and Ant is also beneficial. Furthermore, the position requires knowledge of Python development using the FLASK framework, particularly with Rest API extensions like Restful and SQLAlchemy. Candidates should have exposure to PL/SQL for Oracle databases and familiarity with AZURE DevOps. A solid understanding of Linux and MS Server environments, data modeling, and relational database concepts (SQL, PL/SQL) is essential. The candidate should also have a deep understanding of all stages of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and be prepared to provide on-call support as needed.

Responsibilities

• Support and enhance the UI for the Retail Risk system (VHOS) and the Digital Services Platform (DSP).
• Develop and maintain web applications using Angular JS and Spring.
• Utilize Git for version control and Docker containers for application deployment.
• Implement messaging solutions using Rabbit MQ.
• Manage project dependencies with Maven and Hibernate.
• Write and maintain Java code (J2SE/J2EE) and Java Server Pages (JSP).
• Develop and consume web services, including RESTful APIs.
• Work with XML/XSLT/HTML for data presentation and manipulation.
• Provide on-call support for applications as required.

Requirements

• Minimum of 10+ years technical experience in web development.
• 12+ years overall industry experience.
