About the position

The Front End Developer at Connection is responsible for building and enhancing the client-side of web applications, ensuring a seamless user experience through effective design and development practices. This role involves collaboration with various teams to translate user needs into functional applications while maintaining high standards of accessibility and optimization across all digital platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Build and enhance the client-side of web applications.
  • Deliver best-in-class styling, accessibility, and optimization across all digital applications.
  • Design and develop new UI features and modules for a great user experience across devices.
  • Collaborate with product and design teams to translate needs into interactive applications.
  • Work closely with UI/UX designers and .NET back-end developers to bridge design and technical implementation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Computer Science, or related field required; MBA preferred.
  • Four plus years of coding experience in HTML5, CSS3, and Javascript, including AJAX libraries and frameworks (e.g., Bootstrap, jQuery).
  • Successful completion of numerous front-end development projects for web-based applications.
  • Experience with responsive development for cross-platform functionality.
  • Working knowledge of Sitecore Content Management System.
  • Familiarity with cross-browser coding, testing, and debugging.
  • Strength in UI/UX, visual design, and usability.
  • Proven success in delivering accessible/ADA compliant web interfaces.
  • Experience in creating style guides, interaction, and pattern libraries.
  • Understanding of the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Experience in a front-end development role, preferably in a B2B enterprise E-Commerce setting.
  • Ability to align design principles with corporate needs and constraints.
  • Ability to work on short-term sprints and long-term goals.
  • Working knowledge of Agile Software Development.
