The Software/Web Developer will join a mission-focused team that maintains applications, services, microservices, Platform as a Service (PaaS), and support services. This role requires the maintenance and enhancement of applications and underlying services/microservices' current capabilities while identifying future capability needs and eliminating overlaps. The team will continuously improve sustainment and development to reinvest resources to provide new capabilities and improve the effectiveness, quality, and robustness of the underlying technology. The applications are focused on intelligence analysis and collection management directly supporting intelligence analysts and operators across the intelligence community and Combatant Commands. The Software/Web Developer applies concepts, develops, tests, maintains, and supports high-performance, innovative software and web-based applications. This role involves troubleshooting software and web problems and providing solutions using the latest technologies. The developer will work with management and information technologists to determine specifications and will use a variety of internet technologies, techniques, and tools such as graphics software applications and object-oriented languages (e.g., Angular JS, NODE, etc.) to create software and web application elements such as user interface features, algorithms, animation, special effects, databases, and e-business applications.

Responsibilities

• Support software and web architecture development, requirements analysis, process execution and evaluation, selection and evaluation of COTS/GOTS tools, and integration with both new and legacy systems.
• Interact with customers and development team to gather and define requirements.
• Analyze and study customer requirements to determine the most effective software and web technologies to satisfy their needs.
• Design, create, test, and maintain software and web-based applications and content solutions to satisfy customer requirements.
• Follow a formal design process using formal specifications, data flow diagrams, and other accepted design techniques while adhering to laws, standards, and established guidelines for development and delivery of software and web applications.
• Coordinate creation and collection of necessary technology components and integrate them into a coherent site design.
• Design and develop visually-pleasing, content-rich, user-friendly interfaces with intuitive navigation.
• Develop and maintain software and web development technical documentation to assist with software and web application maintenance and upgrades.
• Provide software process management and configuration management throughout the software/web development lifecycle.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI with Poly
• Must be DoD 8570 compliant at IA Technical (IAT)/IA Management (IAM) Level 2 (Sec+)
• Experience working on a development team under DoD/DIA DevSecOps process
• Experience with Angular JS and/or NODE is required
• Bachelor's degree in information technology or computer science and four years of comparable work experience.
• Strong risk management skills, excellent communication, teamwork, and conflict management skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Python coding experience preferred
• Up to eight or more years of program/application operations experience
• Experience in the Intelligence Community.
