Front End Developer

About the position

Our client has a shared services team that builds various components, upgrades and enhancements to their 'one-Hub' Digital Platform. This is a combo hub built for web and mobile on React Native. This senior Engineer will primarily focus on Front End Dev but must have Full Stack expertise. Some API work may pop up and knowledge around AWS is desired.

Responsibilities

• You will be involved in the design, development, and deployment of software solutions across a variety of platforms (web, mobile, cloud).
• Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions that drive business value.
• Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the engineering team.
• Ensure the scalability, performance, and security of applications in a cloud-based environment.
• Advocate for best practices in software design, testing, and documentation.
• Contribute to the evolution of the company’s technology stack, including cloud infrastructure, APIs, and data pipelines.
• Participate in code reviews, ensuring high-quality software and adherence to coding standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex software issues and performance bottlenecks.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with expertise in React Native, GraphQL, Node.js, micro-packages, and modern software development methodologies (Agile, DevOps, CI/CD).
• MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE PERFORMANCE TUNING AND OPTIMIZING MOBILE APPS.
• Must be able to expose very large data sets into mobile applications.
• Solid experience writing and maintaining unit tests to ensure code quality and reliability.
• Strong knowledge of software development best practices, including Agile methodologies and DevOps principles.
• Proven track record of delivering high-quality, scalable, and secure software solutions.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and communicate technical concepts.
