About the position

As a Front-end Developer at ReSound, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality code that enhances the performance, responsiveness, and accessibility of our web environment. You will maintain and optimize a large codebase while collaborating with a team to meet project deadlines and improve overall team knowledge through documentation and pair programming.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high quality code that directly contributes towards a performant, responsive and accessible web environment
• Maintain and optimize a large codebase for contributions in a team environment
• Provide guidance and perform code reviews for contributors of various levels
• Participate in defining project priorities to meet project deadlines, adjusting scope without sacrificing on top-level goals
• Share (project) knowledge through written documentation, pair programming and demos, aiming to improve the team as much as yourself

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience as a frontend engineer
• Proficient in HTML5, JavaScript/TypeScript, and CSS
• Experience with React and Next.js
• Extensive knowledge of coding principles and design patterns
• Ability to configure and maintain CI/CD pipelines
• Experience integrating with external APIs
• Familiarity with SSO (OAuth 2.0)
• Experience with Headless CMS (Contentful)
• Knowledge of Monitoring & Analytics tools (Datadog, Segment, GA4)
• Experience writing automated unit tests (e.g. Jest)
• Effective communication skills towards colleagues, stakeholders, and vendors
• Fluency in English and confidence to work in a cross-cultural and distributed environment

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with event-driven systems
• Familiarity with TailwindCSS
• Experience working on an E-commerce website
