About the position

As a Front End Drupal Web Developer at Contact Government Services, LLC (CGS), you will play a crucial role in the development and maintenance of web applications for government projects. This full-time position requires you to collaborate with Enterprise Architects, Data Center Leads, IT Managers, and various business and application teams to establish best practices and standards for application development. Your primary responsibility will be to design, code, and modify websites according to client specifications, ensuring that the sites are visually appealing and user-friendly. You will be involved in all aspects of the web development process, from layout to functionality, and will work closely with graphic designers and project team members to develop site concepts, interface designs, and overall architecture. In this role, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, debugging, and implementing software code for website components. You will also develop the scope for the application development process and governance function, establish milestones for the roadmap, and consolidate best practices from both in-house and vendor teams. Your expertise will be essential in defining and implementing processes for software updates and new development tools, as well as coaching and mentoring team members to ensure adherence to established standards and policies. You will conduct periodic reviews to measure compliance with standards and participate in the evaluation and selection of new software development tools proposed by project teams. Your technical skills will be put to use as you perform web design and production tasks using tools such as Dreamweaver and Drupal, and programming languages including HTML, XHTML, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery. You will also be responsible for creating Section-508 compliant images and PDFs, performing quality assurance reviews, and ensuring that all web pages meet accessibility requirements. Additionally, you will analyze website statistics to improve search engine optimization and information architecture, and maintain strong interoffice and client relations through effective communication and collaboration.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or related field.
  • At least three years of related experience in web development.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, CSS, and CSS3.
  • Experience with Section-508 compliance and web accessibility standards.
  • Strong communication skills and a basic understanding of security principles.
  • Experience with Object-Oriented Design and API creation and implementation.
  • Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain a favorably adjudicated Public Trust Clearance.
