The Front-End Engineer for the Developer Platform at Front is responsible for designing and developing frontend APIs that enhance the user and developer experience. This role involves creating developer-friendly frameworks and documentation, collaborating with cross-functional teams to conceptualize and test new features, and ensuring the platform supports a wide range of integrations and workflows. The position plays a crucial role in enabling customers to leverage backend automation and build customized user interfaces, contributing to Front's mission of delivering exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of the frontend APIs that allow developers to augment Front.
• Design, build, and own developer-friendly frameworks and documentation.
• Work closely with product managers, designers, technical partners, and other engineers to conceptualize, build and test new features.

Requirements

• Product minded: committed to building the best user and developer experience.
• Industry experience building fast, reliable, real-time web-based applications.
• Experience working with or building APIs.
• Fluency in a dynamic language like Javascript, Python, Ruby, or similar.
• Understand the trade-offs in employing different engineering solutions to a problem, valuing pragmatism over idealism.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, collaborative, and high-growth environment.
• Full professional English proficiency.
