About the position

Kiewit Data Services (KDS) is seeking a highly skilled Senior Front-End Engineer to join their innovative team. This role involves designing and developing the front-end of web applications, ensuring a seamless and engaging user experience. The position requires advanced front-end development skills and expertise in the latest trends in large language models (LLMs) and machine learning operations (MLOps).

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain responsive, user-friendly web interfaces using modern technologies such as React, Vue.js, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript ES6+
• Experience with Azure platform, Azure functions, and Azure SQL
• Design and implement reusable component libraries, reducing development time
• Collaborate with Data Science or server-side developers
• Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability
• Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in front-end development

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or similar technology degree or equivalent work experience
• 5+ years of experience in developing the user interface and user experience of web applications for North America projects/companies
• Strong track record of successfully executing complex projects and/or projects involving multiple disciplines
• Minimum of 4 years of Python experience
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
• Experience collaborating with senior managers to understand drivers of success and departmental goals
• Manage and supervise a team of at least one developer or software engineer
