About the position

The Front End JavaScript React Developer will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and organizing a library of reusable JavaScript and React components for various applications and systems. This role focuses on translating design mockups into high-quality user interfaces while ensuring compliance with U.S. 508 standards and optimizing performance across devices.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and organize a library of reusable JS/React components.
• Translate wireframes or high-fidelity mockups into high-quality JS-enabled UI/UX.
• Optimize code components for maximum performance across various web-capable devices.
• Use modern JS Design Systems or UI Kits such as Next, Material, and Chakra.
• Develop all UI/UX components to be scalable using responsive design.
• Develop RESTful APIs and modern authorization mechanisms like JSON Web Tokens.
• Design components to meet U.S. 508 Compliance standards.
• Communicate and collaborate with teams to iterate on software development concepts.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues using debugging tools.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 3-5 years of front-end web development experience.
• Experience with JavaScript, CSS, HTML, and React.js.
• Experience with JSON Web Tokens and UI Kits/JS Design.
• Experience with 508 Compliance standards.
