About the position

The Front-End JavaScript Developer at Eastern Kentucky University is responsible for creating user interfaces for modern rich internet applications using the latest front-end technologies. This role involves collaborating with end users on technical feasibility and implementation projects, as well as integrating front-end and back-end security protocols.

Responsibilities

• Develop rich web interfaces using front end frameworks such as Angular, AngularJS, JQuery or other technologies that streamline the production of well documented HTML, CSS and JavaScript code.
• Refactor existing JavaScript code and come up with engineering solutions to adapt and replace legacy interfaces with new interface components.
• Implement and develop front end security practices, as well as integrate with backend security protocols.
• Work with end-user to identify user needs and requirements, as well as determine and communicate request feasibility and implications.
• Support the office functions by completing all other duties and special projects as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree (preferably in Computer Science or related field).
• Two years of related experience required.
