Jacobs is seeking a Front End Lead Developer to join our team in Annapolis Junction, MD, supporting a critical program aimed at providing the Government with subject matter expertise and technical assistance in the development and maintenance of prototype and niche analytics tools. This role is essential for ensuring that the Government can effectively document and maintain these developmental efforts, which are crucial for operational success. As a Front End Lead Developer, you will engage in full stack development within a common cryptologic environment. You will collaborate closely with a small team of 4-5 developers, working together to build various components of the product. Your role will also involve direct interaction with end-user analysts to ensure that their requirements are met, and you will provide assistance to users as needed to enhance their experience with the tools developed. This position requires a strong foundation in software development, particularly in Java and Red Hat Linux, and a comprehensive understanding of full stack development practices. You will be responsible for not only coding but also for ensuring that the tools you develop are user-friendly and meet the specific needs of the analysts who will be utilizing them.
