About the position
The Front End Lead at Eataly serves as a crucial link between staff and management, ensuring the smooth operation of the Front End department. This role involves delegating tasks, motivating, training, and mentoring Front End Cashiers to enhance their skills and performance. The Front End Lead is responsible for handling monetary transactions, supervising the team, and maintaining optimal guest experiences.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the liaison between staff and management to ensure department functionality.
- Delegate tasks and motivate Front End Cashiers to promote their development.
- Handle monetary transactions and perform advanced cashiering duties.
- Assist in supervising the Front End team to ensure optimal performance and guest experience.
- Approve voids, employee discounts, returns, and exchanges.
- Process and settle daily cash and credit transactions for all departments.
- Process and prepare shipment of daily cash deposits.
- Document and communicate overages, shortages, sales data, and discrepancies to appropriate managers.
- Process and monitor currency orders to ensure cash availability for transactions.
- Maintain an accurate safe count and operate a cash recycling machine.
- Order and monitor inventory of supplies needed for the Front End.
- Document, investigate, escalate, and resolve employee or guest incidents.
Requirements
- 1+ year of experience as a supervisor in a retail setting, preferably leading a cashier team.
- Ability to handle money accurately and perform mathematical equations.
- Intermediate computer skills including e-mail and Microsoft Office.
- Bachelor's Degree highly preferred.
