About the position

The Front End Lead at Rural King Supply is responsible for overseeing and leading front end operations with a strong emphasis on delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves training new associates, managing cashier transactions, and ensuring a seamless checkout process. The Front End Lead will also handle cash management, assist customers, and maintain a positive shopping experience while embodying the company's values.

Responsibilities

  • Provide oversight and leadership to front end operations.
  • Lead front end associates to ensure exceptional customer service.
  • Train new front end associates and oversee their development.
  • Manage cashier transactions and customer service desk operations.
  • Empower cashiers to utilize the cashier script effectively.
  • Assist cashiers by running a register when needed.
  • Establish and maintain margin bins for product visibility.
  • Communicate professionally with associates and customers.
  • Aid customers with load outs and coordinate with Outside Recover Associates.
  • Execute accurate cash management, returns, and price dispute resolutions.
  • Set up and manage tax-exempt customer plans.
  • Ensure proper deactivation of EAS devices or spider wrapped products.
  • Assist in shrink awareness and resolve cash shortages.
  • Respond to incoming calls at the registers with professionalism.
  • Complete daily paperwork including bank deposits and safe audits.
  • Oversee the maintenance of popcorn and coffee stations.
  • Order necessary store supplies for front-end operations.
  • Manage the Buy Online Pick Up in Store (BOPIS) process.
  • Conduct weekly BOPIS audits to ensure accuracy.
  • Participate in cross-training for flexibility in various departments.
  • Engage in learning initiatives to refine skills and knowledge.
  • Provide proactive support to internal and external customers.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of retail cashier or supervisory experience.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and strong math skills.
  • Excellent communication skills for implementing policies and procedures.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including nights and weekends.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with cash management and customer service best practices.
  • Familiarity with retail operations and inventory management.
