Front-End React Developer

About the position

Kforce has a client in Maryland Heights, MO that is seeking a Front-End React Developer to enhance and expand a user-facing portal built with React. While the backend is powered by Python, this role will focus exclusively on front-end development.

Responsibilities

• Enhance and maintain a front-end portal built with React, improving usability, performance, and scalability
• Collaborate with backend developers to integrate front-end components with APIs (primarily FastAPI or similar frameworks)
• Translate UI/UX designs into functional, responsive components and pages
• Ensure consistent styling, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation to maintain high code quality
• Work in a cloud-native development environment using AWS infrastructure

Requirements

• Proven experience in React development, including component-based architecture and state management (e.g., Redux or Context API)
• Solid experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/TypeScript
• Experience with AWS cloud services
• Understanding of RESTful APIs and experience working with FastAPI, Flask, or similar backend frameworks
• Familiarity with AWS services such as S3, CloudFront, or Amplify for front-end hosting and deployment
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in UI/UX implementation

• Familiarity with CI/CD workflows and version control using Git
• Knowledge of responsive design and accessibility best practices
