About the position

SAIC is seeking qualified Front-End Software Engineers for a remote opportunity supporting the US Air Force Agency for Modeling and Simulation (AFMS) program. This role involves designing, developing, documenting, testing, and debugging application software to support the implementation and integration of Modeling and Simulation capabilities for the US Air Force and its mission partners.

Responsibilities

• Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs application software.
• Conducts analysis and collaborates with subject matter experts in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems.
• Determines computer user needs and analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls.
• Prepares operating instructions and designs and develops autonomous services, desktop applications, web applications, scripts, and utility programs.
• Ensures software standards are met.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and nine (9) years of experience, or Master's degree and seven (7) years of experience; or relevant years of experience in lieu of degree.
• Must be a US Citizen and currently possess a Secret Clearance.
• Experience with web applications including front end development, consuming and developing REST APIs.
• In-depth understanding of using frontend frameworks (Angular, NgRx/RxJS/Redux, TypeScript, HTML, CSS).
• Experience with server side technologies (Node.js, Typescript, Fastify, Prisma a plus).
• Experience working with Docker, docker-compose, and cloud environments.
• Experience with SQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL).
• Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and Learning Record Stores (LRS), including work with modern learning technology protocols (SCORM, xAPI, cmi5) a plus.
