About the position

Quiet Professionals, LLC is seeking a qualified Front End Software Developer who will be responsible for designing and coding software projects for Quiet Professionals products and back-office systems, with a strong emphasis on front-end development. The ideal candidate will utilize their advanced experience and training to ensure the timely delivery of projects with full expected functionality. This role requires a deep understanding of user experience (UX) and the ability to distill user requirements into actionable development tasks within assigned sprint timeframes. The developer will work with various UI frameworks, including JavaScript, jQuery, and Bootstrap, to create engaging and efficient user interfaces. In this position, the Front End Software Developer will perform a range of tasks including prototyping, analysis, estimation, design, coding, unit testing, and implementation. They will also be responsible for researching and repairing production software defects, optimizing code to prevent performance issues, and collaborating with testing personnel to deliver robust software solutions. This includes supporting various testing types such as System, Integration, Regression, and Performance testing. The developer will contribute to the establishment and use of development standards, including procedures and third-party tools, and will configure development environments to support continuous development practices. The role also emphasizes the importance of security in software development, requiring the developer to apply the highest standards of security in their work. Additionally, the developer will maintain project artifacts and reporting, keeping current on advancements in software development to translate them into improvements for the software being developed.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap, and other UI frameworks for front-end development.
  • Design and implement user interfaces with a focus on UI/UX.
  • Distill user requirements into actionable development tasks within sprint timeframes.
  • Provide software development expertise from estimation through to post-production.
  • Perform prototyping, analysis, estimating, design, coding, unit testing, and implementation.
  • Research and repair production software defects.
  • Optimize code to avoid potential performance issues.
  • Collaborate with testing personnel to deliver software solutions, supporting various testing types.
  • Contribute to the development and establishment of development standards and procedures.
  • Configure development environments in support of continuous development practices.
  • Apply the highest standards of security in software application development.
  • Maintain project artifacts and reporting, ensuring timely updates and accuracy.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • 5 years' experience as a Front End Software Developer.
  • Demonstrated expertise in software development, particularly with JS, React, .NET, C#, CSS, SQL, and Visual Studio.
  • Experience with the Esri ArcGIS Maps SDK for JavaScript and REST APIs.
  • In-depth knowledge of GIS concepts, spatial data management, and ESRI software such as ArcGIS, ArcGIS Server, and ArcGIS Online.
  • Knowledge of Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery and automation practices.
  • Must be eligible to obtain a Security Clearance (US Citizenship).

Nice-to-haves

  • Hold a Security Clearance.
  • Knowledge of ESRI's SDK and GIS Platform.
  • Experience with Microsoft and AWS technology stacks.
  • Familiarity with NodeJS, Python, and Material UI.
  • Knowledge of Entity Framework and Design Patterns.
  • Relevant ESRI certifications such as Esri Certified ArcGIS Developer are preferred.
  • Knowledge of geospatial data formats and standards like GeoJSON, KML, and Shapefile.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
