About the position

The Front End Software Developer at Frontier Technology Inc. (FTI) is responsible for designing, developing, documenting, testing, and debugging software systems and applications. This role supports the Department of Defense and other federal entities by providing technology-enabled services that enhance decision-making capabilities. The position requires collaboration with end users to ensure software meets their needs and involves participation in the full development life cycle.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, document, test, and debug new and existing software systems and/or applications (cloud and/or in-house).
• Serve as technical expert on development projects.
• Participate in full development life cycle including requirements analysis and design.
• Write technical specifications based on conceptual design and stated business requirements.
• Support, maintain, and document software functionality.
• Identify and evaluate new technologies for implementation.
• Analyze code to find causes of errors and revise programs as needed.
• Participate in software design meetings and analyze user needs to determine technical requirements.
• Consult with end user to prototype, refine, test, and debug programs to meet needs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science or similar field of study.
• 5+ years of Front End development experience.
• Experience with Front-End web development, including JavaScript, TypeScript, CSS, SCSS, or HTML.
• Experience with the Vue.js framework.
• Experience with Agile development, including SAFe, Scrum, or Kanban.
• Experience with creating REST calls with a Node.js library, including Express.js or Axios.
• Experience with supporting junior and mid-level engineers.
• Experience with designing new UI features.
• Experience with unit testing.
• Knowledge of REST APIs.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and possess an active TS/SCI Clearance.
