About the position

As ABSC's next TS/SCI-cleared Front-End Software Development Engineer, you will play a critical role in the design, engineering, development, deployment, and use of software for the DOMEX Technology Platform (DTP). This position supports the client's mission to centralize and standardize Tasking, Collection, Processing, Exploitation, and Dissemination (TCPED) of Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) across the Department of Defense (DoD) and Intelligence Community (IC). You will work in a dynamic environment, collaborating with various stakeholders to enhance the Defense Intelligence Agency's (DIA) National Media and Exploitation Center (NMEC) architecture using advanced technologies such as cloud computing, AI, and ML.

Responsibilities

• Coding, testing, and debugging new and/or existing web applications.
• Implementing and refining user interfaces.
• Conducting thorough unit testing via automated tooling.
• Collaborating with other team members (internal and external) to ensure optimal performance and usability.
• Peer reviewing code written by fellow team members.
• Utilizing virtualization technologies like Docker and ContainerD.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a scientific or technical discipline.
• 4 - 8 years of relevant experience.
• A Top Secret/SCI level security clearance with eligibility to obtain a Polygraph clearance.
• Experience with modern front-end libraries such as ReactJS, with a minimum of 2 years professional experience.
• Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Solid understanding of HTTP web requests for fetching JSON data.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to write well-documented code.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience/knowledge of key Agile processes and techniques.
• Experience with writing frontend unit tests.
• Experience with writing backend web API services.
• Experience coding in other languages such as Python.
• Familiarity with NoSQL datastores such as Elasticsearch.
• Familiarity with performance optimization techniques.
• Up to date with emerging front-end technologies.
