About the position

Leidos is seeking a TS/SCI cleared UI/UX Front-End Software Engineer to join our dynamic team in Bethesda, MD. This position involves designing, developing, and deploying a state-of-the-art technology stack that supports the DIA-NMEC (National Media Exploitation Center) DOMEX Technology Platform (DTP). As part of a multi-Task Order 10-year contract, the engineer will contribute to the DOMEX Data Discovery Platform (D3P) Modernization program and assist NMEC in centralizing and standardizing Tasking, Collection, Processing, Exploitation, and Dissemination (TCPED) of Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) across the Department of Defense (DoD) and Intelligence Community (IC) enterprise. The role requires a strong commitment to teamwork, innovation, and professional development. The engineer will work closely with end users, analysts, software and data engineers, and data scientists to ensure the successful implementation of web applications. The position is primarily on-site at the client location, but a flexible schedule is offered, with occasional remote work opportunities. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and possess a solid understanding of the software development life cycle, particularly within an Agile framework. Key tasks include coding, testing, and debugging web applications, implementing user interfaces, conducting unit testing, collaborating with team members, and utilizing virtualization technologies like Docker and ContainerD.

Responsibilities

• Coding, testing, and debugging new and/or existing web applications.
• Implementing and refining user interfaces.
• Conducting thorough unit testing via automated tooling.
• Collaborating with other team members (internal and external) to ensure optimal performance and usability.
• Peer reviewing code written by fellow team members.
• Utilizing virtualization technologies like Docker and ContainerD.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a scientific or technical discipline.
• 4 - 8 years of relevant experience in software development.
• A Top Secret/SCI level security clearance with eligibility to obtain a Polygraph clearance.
• Experience with modern front-end libraries such as ReactJS, with a minimum of 2 years professional experience.
• Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Solid understanding of HTTP web requests for fetching JSON data.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to write well-documented code.
