About the position

The Front End Team Leader at Giant Eagle is responsible for overseeing all operations related to the Front End, Cash Office, and Service Desk. This role focuses on directing team members, managing inventory, ensuring compliance with regulations, and promoting a positive work environment that emphasizes respect, inclusion, and diversity. The Team Leader plays a crucial role in driving business growth while maximizing customer satisfaction and profitability.

Responsibilities

• Interview, select, and train Team Members.
• Direct the work of Team Members.
• Appraise Team Members' productivity and efficiency for promotions or status changes.
• Handle Team Member issues, including complaints.
• Discipline Team Members as necessary.
• Plan and distribute work among Team Members.
• Ensure the safety and security of Team Members and the store.
• Manage the budget for the department or location.
• Manage inventory for the department or location.
• Monitor and implement compliance measures.
• Oversee the entire operation of the Front End, including service levels at registers and service desks.
• Maintain conditions in the parking lot, lobby, and front end of the store.
• Direct customer flow to meet service requirements.
• Audit cash controls to prevent cash losses.
• Maintain accurate department records and ensure compliance with government regulations.

Requirements

• Retail work experience or Store Leader recommendation.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Food Safety certification required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• At least 18 years of age.
