About the position

The position involves architecting, designing, and implementing full-stack web-based applications for Comcast's video on demand ecosystem. The role focuses on creating user interfaces that integrate with complex back-end systems, conducting user experience research, and developing reusable web components. The candidate will also be responsible for implementing scalable RESTful APIs, optimizing web applications for various platforms, and ensuring security and performance across all application tiers.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and implement full stack web-based applications.
• Implement user interfaces that integrate with complex back-end systems.
• Perform in-depth user experience research and prototype interactive systems.
• Develop loosely coupled and reusable components for the web using multiple front-end technologies.
• Implement scalable RESTful APIs to aggregate data from multiple systems.
• Ensure web applications are optimized for multiple platforms and devices.
• Monitor web application performance and ensure security across all tiers.
• Research, assess, and adopt emerging technologies to improve software application development.
• Collaborate with business and team members to discuss user interface requirements and brainstorm UI ideas.
• Assist in the development of new features in accordance with team priorities.
• Work on various defects to ensure the application is functional and visually appealing.
• Communicate with the QA team to rectify site usability issues based on feedback.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field.
• Two years of experience working with Angular, JavaScript, TypeScript, CSS, React, Python, Node JS, Tableau JavaScript API, SQLAlchemy, Concourse CI/CD, Pivotal Cloud Foundry, and MySQL.
