About the position

We are seeking an experienced Front-End Web Developer to join our remote team, focusing on setting up A/B tests within the Optimizely platform to enhance experimentation programs on DoorDash merchant websites. This role involves collaborating with a strategist to create engaging and high-performing user experiences, requiring strong skills in CSS, JavaScript, and HTML, along with excellent problem-solving abilities and effective communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Partner with a strategist to translate concepts and ideas into functional, testable web experiences
• Design and implement front-end features for DoorDash merchant web experiences, focusing on A/B testing and experimentation
• Set up and configure A/B tests within the Optimizely platform, driving insights and improvements
• Collaborate with design, product, and analytics teams to support experimentation and optimize user interactions
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize code for performance and efficiency
• Ensure cross-browser compatibility and maintain best practices for web standards
• Effectively communicate technical details and insights from experimentation to non-technical stakeholders
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering
• At least 3-5 years of web development experience
• Proven experience as a Front-End Developer, ideally with exposure to e-commerce or A/B testing platforms
• Strong proficiency in CSS, JavaScript, and HTML
• Hands-on experience with the Optimizely platform and familiarity with A/B testing methodologies
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to work both independently and collaboratively
• Strong communication skills, especially in translating complex technical information into accessible language
• Experience working in an agency environment is a plus
