About the position

Modis Greensboro is seeking a Front End Developer to join their North Carolina team. This full-time role focuses on creating and maintaining digital campaigns across various devices, emphasizing a collaborative and creative work environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills and a passion for innovative technology, working closely with advertising creative teams to deliver engaging digital experiences.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain robust, well-organized code for digital campaigns.
• Identify and correct bugs and bottlenecks in new and existing projects.
• Collaborate with art directors, writers, and user experience designers to integrate technology with creative concepts.
• Create social media content and applications, focusing on Facebook and other API-driven sites.
• Convert PSDs into static templates and ensure responsive/adaptive design for mobile experiences.

Requirements

• Agency or startup experience, or experience in a creatively charged, collaborative environment.
• Strong HTML and CSS skills, with knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3.
• Experience using a CSS preprocessor (LESS, SCSS/Compass).
• Thorough understanding of JavaScript and the DOM without using a library.
• Expertise in at least one JavaScript library (jQuery, Underscore, Zepto).
• Knowledge of web standards and page-weight optimization.
• Familiarity with client-side MVC frameworks (Ember, Angular, Backbone).
• Experience with responsive/adaptive design and mobile-only experiences.
• Experience developing native/hybrid mobile apps preferred.
• Experience in at least one popular CMS (WordPress, ExpressionEngine).
• Familiarity with at least one server-side MVC Framework (Laravel, Ruby on Rails, Django, CakePHP).
• Experience with social technology APIs (Facebook, Twitter, Foursquare, Instagram).
• Experience creating and consuming JSON-based APIs.
• Familiarity with at least one source control system (Subversion, Git).
• Understanding of software design patterns and testing methodologies is a plus.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in an integrated environment working across all types of media, online and offline.
