About the position

The Front End Web Developer position at Montgomery County Government is responsible for supporting web-based software applications and maintaining a cohesive branding and online presence for the County's website and social media platforms. Responsibilities

• Support web-based software applications and maintain the County website and social media platforms.
• Interface with departments to maintain accurate and up-to-date website content.
• Collaborate with the County Web Architect on design discussions, code reviews, and project planning.
• Analyze current and forecast future website needs, creating solutions with the team.
• Assist other County departments with maintaining content on their web pages.
• Coordinate and assist in website administration training for other County departments.
• Administer public and internal website and third-party mobile application content.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Web Development, Graphic Design, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Three years of job-related web development experience.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, SQL, and RESTful APIs.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Google Analytics, JIRA, SharePoint, and Power Apps.
• Familiarity with design tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Sketch.
