About the position

The Front-End Web Developer role at Dassault Systèmes involves building and maintaining web applications and features for the company's brand website and internal/external applications. This hybrid position requires collaboration with design and development teams to create functional, responsive websites using the latest web technologies. The developer will be responsible for interpreting requirements, developing custom themes, and enhancing existing functionalities, all while ensuring usability and accessibility standards are met.

Responsibilities

• Build the interaction between design and development teams to shorten time to market for the brand website.
• Interpret requirements and develop, maintain, and test various web applications and features.
• Collaborate with development and UX teams to create effective, fluid designs and transpose requirements into working themes.
• Create custom themes, features, and new functionalities for production websites and applications.
• Enhance existing customizations and develop in the latest web frameworks and technologies including HTML5, JavaScript, CSS, and CSS frameworks.
• Problem solve as needed and absorb new technologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field required.
• 5+ years' experience in front-end development.
• Proficiency in responsive design and HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Experience with CSS preprocessors (SCSS) and frameworks (Tailwindcss, Bootstrap, material design).
• Knowledge of accessibility standards and usability principles.
• Experience with task runners (Gulp), module bundlers (Webpack), and version control systems (Git or similar).
• Basic understanding of graphic design software for the web such as Adobe XD, Illustrator, Sketch, Figma.
• Exposure to JavaScript frameworks such as Nuxt (preferable), React, Angular.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience working with front-end and back-end frameworks, Jamstack technology, or site generators such as Jekyll, Hugo.
