About the position

The position at Vision Associates involves supporting the initial and final stages of lab production, focusing on receiving products, monitoring inventory, and shipping finished products. The role requires attention to detail and the ability to perform repetitive tasks while adhering to established standards and company policies. The position is essential for ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of the optical dispensing process.

Responsibilities

• Receive and enter Rx information and lens/frame shipments.
• Operate data entry devices for data entry, verification, and clerical duties.
• Verify accuracy of data and enter it into specific fields using a keyboard.
• Trace frames for exact sizing and check in lens/frames/orders to match packing slips.
• Order, store, and audit inventory properly.
• Prepare finished products for shipping, label boxes, and sort by customer for timely pickup.
• Verify lens and frames received and manage inventory counts and processes.
• Conduct inventory audits and track items as needed.
• Process and store received items and outsourced lenses through inventory management systems.

Requirements

• High School education or equivalent preferred.
• 0-2 years of experience in a related field.
• Ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret organizational goals and policies.
• Experience with ten key and typing.
• Strong written communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to focus on minute details.
• Basic math skills including addition and subtraction.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively.
• Good judgment and decision-making skills.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn internal lab management software.
• Novice experience with Microsoft Office applications.
