Front of House Director

About the position

The Front of House (FOH) Director is responsible for leading the FOH team at Chick-fil-A Valparaiso, ensuring exceptional service and operational excellence. This role involves coaching and developing team members, optimizing systems for efficiency, and maintaining high standards of hospitality and food safety. The FOH Director plays a crucial role in creating a positive work environment and achieving financial goals while fostering a culture of teamwork and leadership development.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead a team consisting of an Assistant Director, Shift Leads, Trainers, and Team Members.
• Coach and mentor shift leads daily on each shift and lead FOH Ops meetings.
• Assist in identifying talent for trainer roles and provide feedback on new hires' performance.
• Directly supervise the Assistant Front of House Director and meet weekly to discuss development goals.
• Ensure order accuracy and speed of service goals are met, troubleshooting issues as they arise.
• Analyze smart shops and CEMs, taking action to improve operations accordingly.
• Oversee cash management and ensure compliance with labor goals.
• Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards in the FOH area.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Experience in hospitality or food service operations.
