About the position

The Front of House Team Member at Brooks Burgers SLO is a vital role responsible for providing exceptional customer service as the first point of contact for guests. This position involves managing customer interactions, handling transactions, and maintaining a clean and welcoming atmosphere in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Team members will contribute to creating memorable dining experiences and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist them with their orders, ensuring a memorable Brooks Burgers SLO experience.
• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for order processing and cash handling.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area, including bussing tables and cleaning surfaces.
• Ensure food safety and proper handling procedures are followed at all times.
• Engage with customers to promote our signature menu items through upselling techniques.
• Assist in managing inventory levels and restocking supplies as needed.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and quality food presentation.
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints promptly and professionally.

Requirements

• Experience in a quick service or fast food restaurant environment is preferred.
• Strong cash handling skills with basic math proficiency for accurate transaction processing.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling techniques.
• Ability to upsell menu items effectively to enhance customer experience.
• Excellent communication skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor.
• A team player who can work collaboratively in a fast-paced setting.
• Previous experience in sales or culinary roles is a plus.
