About the position

In this position, you will provide administrative and patient care support to the assigned clinic in the Ambulatory and Community Practice. Your primary responsibility will be to assist in coordinating patient flow throughout the clinic, from registration to discharge. This role is crucial as you will work as a member of the Ambulatory Care clinic team to ensure a smooth outpatient flow, which is essential for achieving optimum patient satisfaction and efficient clinic operation. You will be involved in various tasks that contribute to the overall patient experience, ensuring that each patient receives the care and attention they need during their visit. Your duties will include managing the appointment scheduling process, which involves facilitating the appointment-making process efficiently and accurately. This includes making transportation arrangements and maintaining the schedules of sub-specialty physicians. You will also be responsible for communicating with physicians and staff in a high-volume setting, which requires excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize assignments effectively. Your interpersonal and communication skills will be vital as you coordinate multiple appointments with staff from various clinical services at the UCLA Medical Center, ensuring that all patient needs are met promptly and professionally.
