About the position

Union Pines Surgery Center is seeking a dedicated Front Office Clerk/Receptionist to join our team. This full-time position is crucial for the smooth operation of our ambulatory surgery center located on the Tulsa Bone & Joint campus. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the front desk operations, ensuring that all visitors and patients are greeted warmly and efficiently. The working hours for this role are from 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM, Monday through Friday, and it is important to note that this schedule is not flexible. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, making it essential to provide excellent customer service. Your duties will include checking in patients, verifying their information, collecting any payments due, and ensuring that all necessary documentation, such as driver's licenses and insurance cards, are scanned and attached to the appropriate records. You will also assist visitors and family members with their inquiries and manage in-house phone calls. Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the lobby and common areas will be part of your responsibilities, ensuring a welcoming environment for all. To be successful in this position, you must possess a solid background in medical office operations, including familiarity with medical terminology and insurance processes. Union Pines Surgery Center adheres to the CMS vaccine mandate, and all employees are expected to comply with this requirement. Responsibilities

  • Greet all visitors with a warm and welcoming smile.
  • Check in patients, verifying patient information and collecting payments due.
  • Scan and attach driver's license and insurance cards to the date of service (DOS).
  • Assist with visitor and family questions.
  • Answer in-house phone calls.
  • Maintain ownership of the lobby and common areas, ensuring they are clean and stocked.

Requirements

  • 2 years of medical office experience.
  • 2 years of customer service experience.
  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology and insurance terms.
  • Driver's License.
