About the position

The Front Office Clerk at Hilton Marco Island Resort and Spa serves as the first point of contact for guests, ensuring a welcoming and efficient check-in and check-out experience. This role is crucial in providing excellent customer service, managing reservations, and handling guest inquiries while maintaining the hotel's standards and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Complete the registration process by inputting and retrieving information from a computer system.
  • Make appropriate selection of rooms based on guest needs.
  • Provide welcome folders containing room keys and other relevant information.
  • Greet customers with a friendly smile and a sincere welcome upon arrival.
  • Verify and imprint credit cards for authorization using electronic acceptance methods.
  • Handle cash, make change, and balance an assigned house bank.
  • Post charges to guest rooms and house accounts using the computer.
  • Assist guests with resort and local information, activities, and events.
  • Handle guest complaints and conduct thorough research to develop effective solutions.
  • Complete daily shift checklist and other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of computer systems associated with storing and analyzing information.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Basic mathematical skills for handling room rates and adjustments.

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior hospitality experience preferred.
