About the position

IRG Physical & Hand Therapy is seeking a Front Office Coordinator (FOC) to join our growing team in Bellevue, WA. This position is integral to our operations, combining traditional medical receptionist duties with responsibilities that enhance the patient experience and drive clinic success. As a Front Office Coordinator, you will be responsible for optimizing patient appointment schedules, managing incoming phone calls, processing new referrals, collecting payments, and obtaining insurance authorizations. You will also gain valuable business skills by learning about key performance indicators (KPIs) and benchmarks that impact both clinic success and patient outcomes. Responsibilities

  • Optimize patient appointment schedules to enhance clinic efficiency.
  • Manage all incoming phone calls and respond to patient inquiries.
  • Process and convert new referrals to ensure a smooth patient onboarding experience.
  • Collect time of service payments and obtain necessary insurance authorizations.
  • Learn and understand key performance indicators (KPIs) and benchmarks that drive clinic success and patient outcomes.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with patients to enhance their experience at the clinic.

Requirements

  • High school diploma (Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred).
  • 2+ years of experience in a customer-facing position.
  • Knowledge and adherence to HIPAA laws and compliance regulations.
  • Proficiency with technology and computer systems, including EMR and Microsoft Office Suite.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Sales or marketing experience.
  • Familiarity with community outreach and involvement.
