About the position

The Front Office Coordinator (FOC) at IRG Physical and Hand Therapy plays a vital role in enhancing the patient experience while managing essential administrative tasks. The FOC is responsible for optimizing patient appointment schedules, managing phone calls, processing referrals, and ensuring smooth operations at the front desk. The role emphasizes community involvement and professional growth within a supportive and dynamic work culture.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day medical receptionist duties.
  • Optimize patient appointment schedules.
  • Handle all incoming phone calls and inquiries.
  • Process and convert new referrals.
  • Collect time of service payments and obtain insurance authorizations.
  • Learn about KPIs and benchmarks to drive clinic success and patient outcomes.

Requirements

  • High school diploma (Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred).
  • 2+ years of experience in a customer-facing position.
  • Knowledge and adherence to HIPAA laws and compliance regulations.
  • Proficiency with technology and computer systems (EMR, Microsoft Office Suite, etc).

Nice-to-haves
