About the position

The Front Office Manager at The Westin Monache Resort Mammoth is responsible for overseeing all operations of the front office, including the front desk, bell services, valet, concierge, activities, and Kid's Club. This management position entails budgeting, hiring, training, planning, guest service, employee relations, purchasing, and managing department finances, while also functioning as the manager on duty.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of the Front Office including front desk, bell, valet, concierge, activities, and Kid's Club.
  • Oversee budgeting, hiring, training, and planning for the front office department.
  • Ensure high levels of guest service and employee relations.
  • Handle purchasing and manage department finances.
  • Act as the manager on duty, addressing any operational issues.

Requirements

  • Four year college degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in hotel front desk and reservations operations.
  • Minimum of 2 years management experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of business software, especially MS Excel, Word, Power Point, and Lightspeed.
  • Professional demeanor, attitude, and appearance.
  • Strong work ethic.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with guests, employees, and management.
  • Ability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to solve problems using common sense and hotel policy.
